WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING:
Just wanted to say thanks for such a great performance. You guys rocked! Everyone had a blast, and the term "best band ever" was thrown about multiple times.
The Tribute String Quartet is a Brooklyn, NY-based ensemble that recreates classic rock and pop covers in a traditional string quartet format.
The group’s first release was “String Trio Tribute, Volume 1,” and features gorgeous, non-traditional arrangements of classic songs by David Bowie, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke, and more.
They currently prepping a 2019 release, featuring covers of Tears for Fears, The Beach Boys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and more. (Samples here on the left!)
Tribute String Quartet’s players have cut their teeth playing with some of the most respected names in both the classical and pop worlds, including Bjork, D’Angelo, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, Bruce Springsteen, Brooklyn Ryder, Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks, Sufjan Stevens, the American Theater Orchestra, Kander & Ebb, Nina Nastasia, Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, Bernadette Peters, the American Symphony Orchestra, Florence and the Machine, and Jay-Z. Several TSQ members can currently be seen on Broadway in the Tony-nominated production of Hadestown.
Graduates of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Juilliard School of Music, TSQ‘s musicians bring a non-traditional approach to songs that aren’t usually associated with the classical string quartet instrumentation of cello, viola, and two violins.
I grew up listening to pop music as well as classical music and in particular have always loved the string arrangements on soul, motown and disco records from the late 60′s and 70′s… It feels natural to use my skills as an arranger to bring these songs to life within the format of a traditional string quartet.”
The response to TSQ has been overwhelming. Since it’s debut, the group has fulfilled countless requests to perform, and released it’s first record.
Listen to some of TSQ’s tracks on their site and search for them on YouTube. You’ll be stunned by how the strings version of a pop or rock song can be transformed into something even more amazing. We hired them for our ceremony and cocktail hour and we got so many compliments from our guests about how original and incredible the music was. If you’re looking for a really cool way to differentiate yourself from all the other weddings, book TSQ for your ceremony (or the whole shebang!). You won’t regret it. ” – Justine
Fantastic Musicians! Going into wedding planning, the only thing we 100% knew that we wanted was a string quartet. We asked for a few new/difficult songs from our favorite film scores, and I was worried that we were asking too much, but their arrangements were incredible and exceeded our expectations. TSQ will be one of the best investments you can make in your wedding if you want your music to make a lasting impression.” – Laura P.
They were absolutely fantastic and worked with me throughout my many requests and last minute changes. They even helped arrange a special (not very well known) song to be played during the ceremony while a family member sang. They did an excellent job and it was one of the most special and memorable moments of the entire wedding.” – Allison
They helped make our wedding absolutely perfect. They were incredibly easy to work with, incredibly flexible when it came to song choices, and above all, they played beautifully and were a large part of the perfect ceremony. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fun and classy quartet” – Evan
I found their song selection so much fun to choose from, and the whole experience was really easy and seamless. The Quartet even learned “Happy Together” by the Turtles for the end of our ceremony to make it even more special.” – Anne
TSQ was a huge hit at our wedding, and our guests are still talking about them! From classic music to modern pop, TSQ can make any song perfect for your wedding. We would absolutely recommend them” – D
